Database administrator Ii

Under the general supervision of the Advancement ITS Director, the Advancement Database Administrator is responsible for maintenance and support of Advancement’s data mart and data warehouse built upon the Blackbaud CRM application.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferences: Must be able to prioritize multiple demands and must be deadline-driven and detail-oriented with a vision to improve business practices and possess the drive to analyze and understand business needs and requirements from different business units. Expertise with Windows operating systems, SQL Server 2014 and its BI tools, Tableau, Blackbaud fundraising software products and services, and Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Access, and Word.

Senior Advancement writer

The Senior Advancement Writer will research, write, edit and collaborate on principal level gift proposals, grants and white papers and provide creative writing support to the university's fundraising efforts. This position will be responsible for identifying stories across the university and ensuring those stories are being shared with alumni, parents and current and prospective donors to encourage philanthropic support for UCF. This position will also collaborate with college and unit based development and communications staff members.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferences: The person we seek will be adept at researching and writing high-level fundraising proposals, grants white papers and gift announcements for strategic areas and composing compelling copy under deadline pressure. The senior writer must possess advanced story development and journalistic writing skills, including a strong portfolio of professional writing that demonstrates creativity in feature writing and interview techniques that has appeared in one or more of these venues – newspapers, magazines, websites, video scripts, e-newsletters or annual reports. We are especially interested in candidates with creative writing and journalism experience, and those with writing experience for development or the nonprofit sector. A minimum of 5-8 years of progressively responsible job experience in journalism, ad agency, magazine writing or development communications preferred.
